Privacy Policy

Effective August 15, 2026

Curbside Cuisine is a free directory that helps people find food trucks in the Kansas City area. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we deliberately collect very little.

Who we are

Curbside Cuisine ("we", "us") is operated by Creativity Jungle. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at info@creativityjungle.com.

What we collect

If you browse without an account, we don't ask you for anything. You can search trucks, view menus, and use the map without registering.

If you create an account, we store:

  • Your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password)
  • Which trucks you've marked as favorites
  • Any "request a truck" posts you submit, including the location you describe and any map pin you place
  • Any listing reports you file

If you register a food truck, we additionally store the business information you enter — truck name, description, cuisine, contact email and phone, website and social links, menu items and prices, any menu photo or PDF you upload, your scheduled stops, and any location you pin on the map. This information is intended to be public: it's shown on your truck's profile page and in the "Who's Open" listings.

Automatically, our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
  • We don't run advertising networks or third-party ad trackers on this site.
  • We don't process payments, so we never see or store card details.
  • We don't share who filed a report with the truck being reported.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep you signed in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you never sign in, the site sets essentially nothing.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of third parties to run the site:

  • SendGrid (Twilio) — sends account emails such as address confirmation and password resets. They receive your email address.
  • DigitalOcean — hosts our servers and database in the United States.
  • Cloudflare — provides DNS for our domain.
  • OpenStreetMap — supplies map tiles. Your browser requests these directly, so OpenStreetMap may see your IP address when you use the map view.
  • Google Fonts — supplies the site's typefaces, loaded directly by your browser.

How long we keep things

Account and truck information is kept for as long as your account is active. Technical logs are kept only as long as they're useful for security and diagnostics. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account and its associated content.

Your choices

You can, at any time:

  • View and edit your truck's information, menu, and schedule from your account
  • Remove favorites or delete "request a truck" posts you created
  • Download or delete your personal data from your account's Personal Data page
  • Email us at info@creativityjungle.com with any privacy request

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Public information

Please remember that truck profiles, menus, schedules, and locations are public by design — that's the point of a directory. Don't put anything in those fields you wouldn't want publicly visible. "Request a truck" posts are visible to other signed-in users, but your identity is not shown alongside them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Note: this policy describes our actual practices in plain language. It isn't legal advice. If Curbside Cuisine grows to serve users outside the United States, or starts processing payments, this policy should be reviewed by a lawyer.
